The three founders of Talk Your Walk
Our Story

Three careers.
One foundation.

Talk Your Walk Foundation was built by three professional rugby league players - Jesse Sene-Lefao, Quentin Laulu-Togagae and Suaia Matagi - who took everything the game taught them and turned it into a movement to help others walk their own path.

In Their Own Words

Three voices.
Three journeys.

International Athlete, Mentor & Founder

"Life's toughest moments can shape your greatest comebacks."

For over 12 years, I had the privilege of living my dream as a professional rugby league player, competing in the NRL, Super League, and representing Toa Samoa on the international stage. Rugby has taken me across the world, but the greatest lessons weren't just learned on the field - they came from the struggles, setbacks, and moments of doubt that shaped who I am today.

As Jim Rohn once said, "Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines practiced every day." This has been a guiding principle in my journey, both on and off the field. It's about showing up, staying disciplined, and never giving up - even when the odds feel stacked against you.

I'm deeply proud of my Samoan heritage. My culture has always been the anchor that reminds me of the importance of family, respect, and service to others. It has shaped the way I approach life - with humility, strength, and a deep passion for helping others find their purpose.

Through Talk Your Walk Foundation, I share my story and the values I've learned from rugby and my culture to empower others. Whether it's youth finding their path, individuals battling mental health challenges, or communities coming together, my mission is to inspire hope, build resilience, and create safe spaces for growth.

Ex Super League Player & Samoan International

"It's never too late to chase your dreams."

Making my Super League debut at 33 years old was a remarkable milestone that served as a powerful reminder of the importance of perseverance and resilience. My 19-year journey was filled with ups and downs, including two missed NRL opportunities with the Melbourne Storm and South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Those setbacks taught me vital lessons about dedication and hard work, shaping my character along the way. Finally achieving my dream of debuting in the English Super League not only made me one of the oldest players to do so but also showed me that with unwavering determination, good systems and self-belief, you can turn your dreams into reality - no matter how long it takes.

From those missed chances, I learned invaluable lessons, which I share today in the hope of helping others reach their goals. Being able to talk about the mental health challenges I've encountered throughout my journey allows me to connect with those who may be struggling with similar issues. By opening up about these experiences, I can encourage others to be honest about the problems they face as well.

"No matter how many times you drop the ball in life, it's never too late to pick it up and run it straight again."

For the past 11 years, I've been blessed to live my dream as a professional rugby league player, competing in both the NRL and Super League, and representing at the highest level for both the NZ Kiwis and Toa Samoa. My journey hasn't been without its challenges, but each obstacle taught me that life, like rugby, is about resilience and determination.

I'm passionate about inspiring others to realize that no matter how many times you drop the ball in life, it's never too late to pick it up and run it straight again. No matter how far you think you've gone off track, there's always an opportunity to turn your life around and pursue your dreams.

Through Talk Your Walk, I share my personal story and lessons from the field to infuse hope, build strength, and show that the toughest moments can become the greatest comebacks. Let's work together to rewrite your story - because your best play is still ahead.
